About
Youssef Biaz is a Moroccan-Alabaman screenwriter. He attended USC film school before taking a nine-year detour as an AI software engineer at Google. During that stint, he stole company time to write scripts and, in mid-2025, finally made the jump to writing full-time. His prose has been published in Hippocampus Magazine and The Hotazel Review. His one-act play, The Wedding, placed in the Young Southern Writers' annual playwriting competition. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to see sample TV pilots or feature film scripts.
